You ask yourself the question “why success is difficult to achieve” many a time in your life.

Success is to hard to get because it is priceless and treasure like.

Valuable things are always difficult to attain, aren’t they?

If gold can be dug out a few yards under the ground, it would not be valuable. Gold is a priceless commodity because it is hard to get.

Success is also like gold.

You can achieve success only after a long struggle. There are times you just want to let go your trying. Because however much you try, you keep failing.

And your consistent failures make you feel that success is difficult to achieve. But when you push forward despite your failing, success which seemed an unattainable dream suddenly becomes a reality in your life.

And when you achieve your success, you feel as though you are in the top of the world. This is how sweet success is.

Suppose you can achieve success by the flick of your hand.

You will not know its value as the easiness with which you attained your success makes you think that it is nothing valuable. When your mind does not value your success, you will eventually lose it.

“How are some writers so successful? Why am I not achieving their incredible success even though I am writing good articles? It is just that I am plain unlucky.” These were my thoughts when initially there was no viewers for my blog.

Was I right in feeling that success was eluding me?

No!

I was wrong. I cannot expect success to be handed over to me in a platter. I was being unsuccessful because I was not working hard enough.

The writers who had enviable viewers had worked hard for years to reach their pinnacle. They did not enjoy their success by writing trash. They researched and conveyed the message that the viewers were searching for. Now, I realize I have to give my viewers valuable information if I want to achieve the success I am aiming at.

Let us take an example!

Can you build a house within a few minutes?

You cannot.

You must lay the foundation and build it brick by brick. It takes months before your house is complete.

It is the same with success. It takes time. Easily had success goes easily away.

But sadly, most of you crave for instant success. When you do not get it, you easily give up. You demotivate yourself that you are incapable of success.

Success is difficult to achieve only for non-performers. You will never achieve success if you want it to be handed over to you without any input of hard work from you.

Is hard work the only criterion for success?

No!

Lot of tricky qualities is woven intricately around success.

Your hard work is nothing without your perseverance. Your perseverance will not yield results without your intelligence. Your intelligence needs your smart work. Your smart work needs your assertiveness and confidence.

You have to combine all these qualities with good people’s skill.

After combining all these qualities, you must work relentlessly. You must never let go your trying. And it might take years before you see the dawn of success in your life.

Success is that difficult to achieve.

There are many other reasons why success is difficult to achieve.

You never understand that there is no instant success. You want to be successful instantly and immediately.

When you do not achieve instant success, you term yourself as unlucky and unfortunate.

You start a business and want money to pour in. You join a job and want to reach the top position instantly. You learn a sport and want to be known as the best in the world.

Sadly, none of this is going to happen.

You have to wait for years before your dream of success will materialize. But you are not ready to wait. You are that impatient. You let go after a few years of trying, thinking that you cannot be successful. If only you had tried a wee bit more, you could have done it.

I had always assumed that the lion had its prey effortlessly, just like that.

Lion is that mighty, isn’t it?

But I was in for a shock. It was a revelation when the lion failed a multiple times before it could ambush its prey.

The lions waited for its prey patiently. The chase for the prey was lengthy and tiresomely long drawn out. Even after so much planning, there are times when the lions could not catch its prey. So, the lion had to change its hunting strategy until it finally ambushed its prey.

Yes.

Being successful also needs meticulous planning and strategy.

Shall we now see why success is difficult to achieve?

1. You do not have a goal

You want to be successful, but you do not know about the goal in your life. It is not enough to think of success if you do not have a goal.

Do you want to be a sportsman?

Do you want to be a singer?

Do you want to be successful in your job?

You must have a target to achieve. Unless you set your target, you will be working aimlessly. The net result would fruitless and worthless.

So, have a particular target. Otherwise, success is difficult to achieve.

2. You do not put your soul into it

You cannot achieve your target if you are not passionate about it. Having a target is just the tip of the icing in your aim to become successful.

You must put tons of hard work into your target. It is no use if you sharpen your talent in fits and jerks.

Most of you are very halfhearted and lukewarm in your efforts to be successful.

Your passion for your success should be like a fire burning within you.

Only your burning passion to win will lead you to incredible success.

3. You have too many diversions

You are addicted to so many habits which eat away your precious time. Social media has become a deterrent to your success in many ways.

You wake up and the first thing you reach out is your mobile phone. You want know what is happening to your friends as if your life depended upon it. You spend your first waking time on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

Your precious time ticks away as you waste your time on things that does not have any say in your life.

When you do everything wrong in your search for success, you have no right to crib that being successful was perhaps not destined to you.

4. Success takes very long to achieve

When you see successful people, you never realize that they got their success after years of hard work.

The path of success is full of thorns and hurdles. It is never easy.

You will fail a multiple times. You will have to work hard for years. You will meet rebuffs and rejections so many times that you feel insulted and degraded.

But you have to keep on going. Your mind screams at the insults thrown on you, but you have to keep trying. Years will rush by without you not seeing a ray of success, but you have to keep waiting patiently for your turn.

5. Success needs constant improvising

You cannot achieve success if you do not improvise your knowledge. Most of you want incredible success. There is no doubt about it. But you never think that improvising your knowledge is part of your success.

If you want to be a good public speaker, you must read books pertaining to your field. If you want to be a successful businessman, you must improvise your knowhow about your business.

If you want to go up the ladder of success in your job, you must improvise your knowledge about your work.

If you do not improvise, your only option is to remain a mediocrity all through your life.
